For many students, the transition after Class 10 feels like a turning point. The pressure to choose the “right” stream—whether Science, Commerce, or Humanities—often brings confusion. Students face expectations from society, parents, and the idea that only specific career paths, such as engineering or medicine, lead to success.

This is where Educart stepped in. To address these concerns, Educart organised a unique career counselling session aimed at guiding students and helping them explore the wide variety of possibilities that lie ahead.

This event had one clear goal: to break the barriers of confusion and offer students clarity and confidence as they embark on their next journey. During the event, students posed curious questions about everything from choosing dummy schools and selecting between Science or Commerce to exploring freelancing and skill-building alongside academics.

This past Sunday, Educart organised an unforgettable workshop for ICSE students in Agra. Held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium on a pleasant Sunday afternoon, the event aimed to provide students with the tools, knowledge, and mindset necessary for one of the most important decisions of their academic lives—choosing a stream after Class 10.

The event combined career counselling by Mr. Anubhav Rakheja and important academic tips and insights, particularly in the area of pre-board preparations. by one of the biggest names in the ICSE Education Sector—Sir Tarun Rupani.

For the first time, the popular YouTuber and educational influencer visited Agra at this event. His reputation as YouTube’s most popular and trusted ICSE Class 10 educator drew a large crowd, and his advice on stream selection and preparation was invaluable for students going through this most important stage.

Breaking Myths with Anubhav Rakheja

Anubhav Rakheja, a well-known career counsellor with years of experience, led a discussion on common myths surrounding stream selection. He discussed how many students feel pressured to choose Science, even when their interests and talents align more with Commerce, Humanities, or creative fields. He gave attention to the need to make choices based on individual strengths rather than societal pressure.

“It’s not about choosing the ‘safe’ option, it’s about choosing the path where you can thrive as per your talent. Today Humanities is the most famous stream today’s youth is picking, but kafi logo ko abhi bhi Science hee dilwana hai!!” Mr. Anubhav stated passionately.

Many retailers shared frustrations over publishing industry online discounts making it impossible to convince students to buy at the shop. It’s frustrating when a customer comes to your shop and shoves his phone on your face saying ‘online sasta hai’.

Mr. Agarwal suggested that this problem can only be solved when publishers start controlling the discounts on e-commerce platforms to maintain a level playing field. He also announced the discount ceiling that Educart has implemented for the first time in the publishing industry, stopping Amazon and Flipkart from selling any Educart book above a certain percentage. This attracted a lot of cheer from the retailers.

Rakheja further highlighted the growing range of alternative universities and courses offering excellent placement opportunities in fields like product design, data science, liberal arts, design, and entrepreneurship.

He encouraged parents to consider these options instead of just focusing on traditional choices like NEET and JEE. With real-world data in hand, he presented success stories of students who found happiness and success by choosing unconventional streams or less traditional career paths.

The Role of Sir Tarun Rupani: A Moment to Remember

The excitement in the air was striking, as students eagerly awaited the arrival of the special guest. The moment finally came when YouTube’s biggest ICSE Class 10 educator, Sir Tarun Rupani, entered the auditorium to a standing ovation.

He asked the students to be grateful for their parents' support and shared some deeply touching stories of past ICSE student toppers who were much less privileged yet overcame challenges and turned obstacles into opportunities.

Tarun Sir’s words weren’t just advice; they were emotional, heartfelt, and filled with authenticity, helping students see the value of self-belief and a growth mindset.
