Educart Brings Practical Wisdom to PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cossipore - Teachers Trained in Effective Classroom Management!
In a bid to support professional development in education, a Comprehensive Teachers Training Workshop on Classroom Management was successfully held at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cossipore, Kolkata, on July 19, 2025. Organised by EDUCART, the session was led by CBSE Certified Resource Person Ms. Sonali Banerjee, and drew participation from educators across the institution, all eager to enhance their classroom practices.
Spanning two hours, the workshop focused on equipping teachers with practical tools and approaches for managing diverse classrooms more effectively. Ms. Banerjee, known for her engaging facilitation style and deep experience in teacher training, introduced evidence-based strategies for maintaining order, promoting inclusivity, and fostering an active learning environment.
From the outset, the session emphasised the real-world applicability of classroom management techniques. Educators engaged in hands-on activities and shared classroom situations that highlighted the challenges of balancing curriculum demands with behavioural expectations. Ms. Banerjee guided participants through case-based discussions, exploring root causes of common disruptions and offering proactive strategies to handle them constructively.
A standout moment during the workshop was the resolution-writing exercise, where each teacher was asked to reflect on their current practices and commit to specific, actionable steps for improvement. This personal reflection allowed participants to translate their learnings into tailored implementation plans—enhancing not just their teaching methods, but also their mindset towards long-term student engagement.
Teachers also participated in dynamic peer-learning segments, openly discussing techniques they’ve found successful and exploring how emotional intelligence, empathy, and clarity in instruction can positively impact student behaviour. The discussions created a safe, collaborative space that encouraged introspection and idea exchange among colleagues.
The workshop underscored that effective classroom management isn’t just about control—it’s about creating a structured, student-centred space where learning thrives. Topics like time management, use of visual cues, differentiated instruction, and relationship-building were also explored in detail, giving teachers a well-rounded framework to adapt to their unique classroom needs.
This initiative by EDUCART forms part of a broader mission to strengthen teacher capabilities across Indian schools. Through well-researched and contextually relevant CPD programmes, EDUCART aims to support educators with the tools and confidence needed to adapt to evolving academic demands and diverse student needs.
