Crimson World School recently hosted a focused teacher training session in collaboration with Educart, centred around the theme "Effective Assessment and Question Paper Design." Led by Educart trainer Mr. Vikram Singh, the session took place on May 10, 2025, and engaged a group of 13 enthusiastic teachers from the school.

With the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizing conceptual learning and competency-based assessment, the session aimed to equip teachers with practical tools for designing papers that assess understanding, not just memory. The workshop introduced educators to smart structuring of test blueprints, marking schemes, and question variety from objective and application-based to analytical and inferential.

What made the session stand out was its hands-on approach. Teachers were guided through examples of well-balanced assessments and participated in discussions around classroom challenges, student performance gaps, and exam anxiety. According to attendees, the session was not only “informative and energetic” but also sparked a clear demand for more such interactions in the future. “We want to attend more sessions like this. It really helped us reflect on how we’ve been assessing students so far,” shared one of the participants.

Following the workshop, Principal Mrs. Ritu Tandon expressed appreciation for the training and confirmed her interest in extending Educart’s professional development offerings. Plans are now underway for post-vacation programs, including career counselling sessions for students, a tuck shop, and a series of paid teacher training modules - all designed to foster a stronger learning environment at the school.

The collaboration between Crimson World School and Educart marks a meaningful step toward building assessment-literate, reflective educators ensuring that classrooms evolve to meet the needs of 21st-century learners.
