Educart Hosts National Webinar on Holistic Progress Card with Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO of PARAKH
On June 28th, 2025, Educart had the honour of hosting Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO and Head of PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development) under NCERT, for a powerful, nationwide educator webinar titled “Redefining Assessment | Reimagining Education.” The session centered around one of the most transformative ideas under NEP 2020: the Holistic Progress Card (HPC).
With an overwhelming participation of over 2000 educators across India and 1600 teachers attending live, the two-hour paid session marked a key moment in Educart’s mission to bring thought leadership and policy implementation guidance directly to schools and teachers.
Hosted by Mr. Nishant Singh Lakra, Head of Academics at Educart, the webinar delved into how the Holistic Progress Card represents a paradigm shift in how student achievement and growth are measured in Indian classrooms.
In her keynote, Prof. Bhaduri outlined:
- The purpose and vision of HPC under NEP 2020
- Its role in capturing academic progress alongside 21st-century skills, values, socio-emotional development, and well-being
- The importance of multi-source feedback including peer, self, and teacher-based evaluations
- How the HPC fosters reflective learning, intrinsic motivation, and individualised student profiles
She emphasized that assessment, when rooted in purpose and personalization, becomes more than a report—it becomes a journey of growth and self-awareness.
Educators were encouraged to move away from single-score evaluation models and embrace continuous, formative feedback practices. The discussion highlighted how HPC can be practically implemented through:
- Thoughtful classroom observations
- Student portfolios
- Rubric-based evaluations
- Anecdotal notes and self-assessment formats
Teachers appreciated the clarity and direction provided during the session. One participant commented, “This webinar helped us truly understand what ‘holistic’ means. It showed us a path to make assessment human, supportive, and genuinely meaningful for students.”
Educart’s decision to host this high-impact session reflects its continued commitment to bridging the gap between policy and practice. The event allowed schools to engage directly with the national voice behind India’s reimagined assessment vision, and provided much-needed clarity around HPC’s classroom relevance.
The session also marked a significant step in bringing NEP 2020 to life, offering school leaders and teachers a clear roadmap to transform evaluation into a tool for lifelong learning rather than just academic judgment.
As India prepares to scale NEP-aligned reforms, sessions like these provide the insight, leadership, and actionable tools needed to equip schools for the future.
Educart extends its heartfelt thanks to Prof. Indrani Bhaduri for leading this visionary dialogue, and to the 2000+ educators who joined the session with curiosity, commitment, and a shared passion to reimagine Indian education for the next generation.
Let’s continue building classrooms where learning is holistic, reflective, and deeply human.
