Vindhyachal Academy Hosts Educart’s Workshop on Critical and Creative Thinking

On 13th June 2025, Vindhyachal Academy, Bhopal collaborated with Educart to host an impactful in-school workshop on “Critical & Creative Thinking”. The session was conducted by Ms. Nikita Porwal, a CBSE Resource Person and Director of Birla Open Minds International School, Indore.

The workshop aimed to empower teachers with practical classroom strategies that foster deeper student engagement through critical analysis, creative exploration, and reflective decision-making. With the shift in education towards learner-centered methods, the session focused on how educators can guide students to become independent thinkers rather than passive recipients of knowledge.

Ms. Porwal introduced real-world examples and easy-to-implement tools to help teachers design lessons that challenge students to ask questions, assess perspectives, and think innovatively. Teachers were also encouraged to reflect on their current teaching approaches and identify where curiosity and creativity could be better cultivated in their classrooms.

“The session wasn’t just theory - it offered ideas we can actually use from tomorrow. It helped me rethink how I frame questions and run group tasks,” said one teacher from the school.

Educators found the session both inspiring and applicable, with active participation and thoughtful conversations throughout. The workshop served as a reminder that even small changes like using open-ended prompts or collaborative exercises can have a big impact on student thinking.

Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, the Principal of Vindhyachal Academy expressed a desire for more training opportunities with Educart. Future workshops are being planned to cover a wider range of topics, reinforcing the school’s vision of building a reflective, future-ready teaching force.
