Bansal Public School Hosts Educart’s Workshop on Critical and Creative Thinking
On June 25th, 2025 - in a powerful step toward promoting progressive teaching practices, Bansal Public School, Jaipur, partnered with Educart to conduct a hands-on Teacher Training Workshop on the theme “Critical and Creative Thinking”. The session was expertly led by Ms. Priyanka Tomar, a CBSE Resource Person with extensive experience in training educators on NEP-aligned pedagogy. The session was facilitated by Abhishek from Educart.
The workshop brought together teachers from various subjects and grades, all eager to upgrade their instructional methods in line with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 objectives. The central focus of the training was to help teachers break free from traditional rote-based classroom culture and transition toward thinking-centric learning environments that nurture inquiry, imagination, and problem-solving.
Participants explored a rich variety of strategies to develop higher-order thinking in students, including:
- Socratic Questioning for deeper dialogue in classrooms
- Brainstorming and Mind Mapping for collaborative ideation
- SCAMPER Framework for nurturing creativity and innovation
- Think-Pair-Share & Gallery Walks to build reflective discussions
- Design Thinking Models to connect lessons with real-life problem-solving
Teachers also examined sample lesson plans demonstrating how to embed critical and creative thinking into core subject areas—such as designing divergent questions in English, facilitating inquiry labs in Science, or using real-world case studies in Social Studies.
One of the workshop’s most appreciated features was its practical, activity-driven format. Teachers were grouped into teams and asked to redesign a conventional textbook topic using creative frameworks, helping them experience firsthand how to plan dynamic lessons that encourage student participation and autonomy.
“This workshop helped us rethink not just what we teach, but how we teach,” said one participant. “The tools shared today can be applied immediately in our classrooms.”
The school management, including the Director, Principal, and Coordinator, were highly appreciative of Educart’s initiative and the value it brought to their faculty. They assured continued collaboration with Educart and welcomed the idea of hosting more such professional development workshops throughout the academic year.
Educart extends a special thanks to Ms. Tomar for leading such an impactful session and to Ankit, the Client POC, for seamless coordination.
This session marks yet another milestone in Educart’s mission to empower educators across India and support schools in transforming their classrooms into engaging, reflective, and future-ready learning spaces.
