Educart's 'Classroom Reset' Workshop Puts Experiential Learning at the Centre
Agra: As part of its Classroom Reset Initiative for 2026-27, Educart organised a Teacher's Training Workshop on "Experiential Learning" at Jim Corbett Public School, Agra on May 14th, 2026.
In this 2-hour session, conducted by Gayatri Vaswani (CBSE Resource Person), teachers were not only learning new things but also participating enthusiastically.

An Energetic Beginning
Instead of a normal beginning, the session opened on an energetic note with the song "Mitwa" from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, encouraging the participants, right from the beginning - a perfect example of experiential learning itself.
It reflected how activity-based, student-centered teaching practices can make classrooms more interactive, with space for creative learning.
What Experiential Learning Actually Is?
Gayatri Ma'am explained how students understand best through experiences, reflection, observations and practical application of concepts. While sharing relatable classroom situations, she emphasised on how modern teaching should move past rote learning and start building deeper conceptual understanding.
According to her, learning through experience can:
- Improve classroom engagement
- Develop critical thinking skills
- Encourage creativity and collaboration
- Build confidence in students
- Make learning meaningful and joyful
Activities That Made the Point
One of the strongest sections of the workshop was when the hands-on-activities were conducted by Gayatri ma'am. These interactive exercises transformed what was being discussed into something real and practical.
Teachers actively participated and were engaged through question-answer round, group discussion, and classroom simulations. Out of all these, two activities that stood out were:
- Paper-folding exercise: Given similar instructions, participants produced different figures, a simple but remarkable demonstration of how every learner interprets information differently, and why flexible, student-centred teaching matters.
- Reflection and sharing: Teachers wrote about and shared their positive and challenging classroom experiences, creating an emotionally connected space that encouraged empathy and collaboration.
A Motivational Close
The session came to an end on a confident and motivated note with the participating educators joining in the slogan "We Can Do It, We Can Win!".
Participants strongly appreciated practical examples and real-life classroom applications and experiences as those were the major contributions in their understanding about experiential learning.

The workshop focused attention to the growing role of experiential and activity-based learning in today's classroom.
