In the middle of rising concerns about NEET exam practices and the challenges faced by aspiring doctors, this young girl from a small city in Haryana shows up as a source of strength and hope. She is not just any doctor; she is one of the rare few who have dedicated their time and energy to teaching the entire NEET-UG syllabus on YouTube, completely free of charge.

Dr Rakshita’s story is one of resilience, a journey that took her from the quiet corners of a small town to becoming a beloved figure to the lack of students. She is not just an educator; she is an inspiration. She was always that quiet girl (very reticent), right until she got selected for her MBBS.

Her YouTube channel journey also had just started back then in 2020 during her first year of MBBS. But she found solace in going online and teaching students difficult NEET topics, formulating realistic strategies, and inspiring them to keep going when they were at their lowest.

She was a refreshing change for NEET-UG aspirants who wanted a fresh perspective on how to structure and prepare themself. With every limited support and perhaps ridicule she received from her college seniors for doing her little ‘YouTube channel’, in hindsight she is having the last laugh today as being the go-to educator for learning with a record 15,000 live of students and getting Lacs of views on every video of hers on NEET-UG.

Dr Rakshita says proudly,

“My father has always been my biggest support system; it is his belief, respect, and vision that he carried for me & my career that has resulted in me becoming a successful Doctor today and Ma’am of lakhs of NEET-UG aspirants.”

The path to becoming a doctor in India is anything but easy; NEET feels like an unscalable mountain for most aspirants. With the NEET 2024 controversy under scrutiny due to reported irregularities and unfair practices, students faced immense pressure, leaving them feeling confused, frustrated, and uncertain.

But Dr Rakshita provides more than education–she gives students a sense of hope and direction, reminding them that the dream of becoming a doctor is still worth fighting for. What sets her apart is a genuine understanding of her students’ struggles.

She wasn’t born into a world of privilege, she was a small-town girl with nothing but dreams in her heart and passion to make them come true. Her story resonates deeply with her students because they see themselves in her.

Through her YT channel (see a screenshot of her videos teaching fundamental concepts of NEET-UG to students), she covers the entire NEET-UG syllabus, mapping specific strategies and providing easy-to-understand explanations. To go beyond her YT channel to help the students, she has just now bagged a deal with Educart, one of India’s major NEET publishing houses for her first-ever series of NEET-UG PYQ Books.

One of her biggest achievements was authoring India’s first Past Year Questions (PYQs) book with Educart on the new syllabus of NEET 2025 for all 3 subjects. Within just a week of its release, her books became the #1 bestseller on Amazon India and remained there for 1 week (record). The book’s success is a perfect combination of her expertise and the trust that students place in her, taking the NEET-UG community by storm. I guess the quality of Questions, chapter-wise and topic-wise smart segregation and unique explanations is what students found very useful in her book as we ourselves had a look.

At a time when the Edtech industry is flooded with platforms offering paid courses and subscriptions, Dr Rakshita’s free, comprehensive content stands out. Her journey has just begun, and with her growing influence, there’s no doubt she will continue to inspire and guide future doctors for years to come.

We feel every NEET-UG aspirant for the May 2025 exam should follow her journey, videos and advice to increase their chances of releasing their medical dream. This special edition aims to uplift, appreciate, and support these future medical leaders and educators, who rarely get a mention for their hard work.
