In an era where academic choices play a pivotal role in shaping lifelong careers, Maharaja Agarsain Public School, Ashok Vihar, took a commendable step forward by partnering with Educart to organize an insightful Career Counselling Workshop on July 11, 2025. The workshop was expertly led by renowned career guidance expert Mr. Anubhav Rakheja, whose practical and research-backed strategies have empowered thousands of students across India to make informed academic and career decisions.

The one-day workshop was thoughtfully structured into two sessions, each curated to address the distinct needs and challenges of students at different academic levels. The first session, conducted for Grades 9 and 10, focused on building a strong foundation in career awareness. Mr. Rakheja engaged the students in discussions that encouraged them to explore their personal interests, strengths, and aspirations. He introduced the concept of aligning academic choices with long-term career goals, helping students understand how early awareness can play a significant role in reducing stress during later stages of education.

The second session, tailored for Grades 11 and 12, students were introduced to data-driven approaches to stream and subject selection, college admissions, and entrance exam strategies. Mr. Rakheja also emphasized the importance of long-term planning, urging students to go beyond marks and rankings and instead build well-rounded academic profiles that reflect their personality, purpose, and potential.

One of the standout segments of the workshop was the discussion on emerging global trends in education. Students gained valuable insight into how they can future-proof their academic journeys by acquiring global exposure and cross-disciplinary skills.

In addition to this, the session also introduced the concept of psychometric testing and interest-based career mapping, which sparked great interest among both students and faculty. Mr. Rakheja demonstrated how these tools help uncover hidden strengths, clarify areas of aptitude, and provide direction when students feel overwhelmed by choices. By making the counselling process interactive and reflective, he ensured that the students walked away not only informed but also empowered to take charge of their own futures.

Another crucial aspect covered was profile building. Mr. Rakheja shared actionable strategies for students to strengthen their academic and co-curricular records through volunteering, internships, competitions, certifications, and creative projects.

The event was made possible through the seamless coordination and support of Educart’s on-ground team comprising Mr. Inderpreet Singh, Mr. Akhouri Anand, Mr. Gaurav Ujinwal, and Mr. Baljit Singh. Their presence ensured that each segment of the workshop was delivered with precision, relevance, and value. From logistics to student engagement, their involvement contributed significantly to the overall success of the event.

By hosting this workshop, Maharaja Agarsain Public School and Educart have once again demonstrated their shared commitment to student success beyond classroom learning. The initiative not only helped students gain clarity about career choices but also emphasized the importance of self-awareness, planning, and adaptability in today’s ever-evolving academic environment. With education becoming more interdisciplinary and globally interconnected, such workshops are crucial in nurturing confident, capable, and career-ready individuals who can thrive in the real world.
