Changes in the NEET Syllabus: 2023 vs 2024
2023
- In 2023, The NMC issued the NEET Syllabus following extensive professional research and evaluation.
- The syllabus provides a comprehensive coverage of all topics related to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. All of the chapters and subjects included in the NCERT 2023 Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Class 11 and 12 syllabus are covered in the NEET 2023 syllabus.
- All three disciplines are covered in 98 pages in NEET 2023 or NCERT 2023
2024
- In 2024, to assist students in understanding the curriculum and preparing for the test better, NMC announced the updated NTA NEET 2024 syllabus on October 6, 2023. The syllabus has been reduced by about ten units. But a few new subjects have also been included.
- All of the Class 11 and Class 12 curricula are included in the NEET 2024 curriculum. Given that the official syllabus isn't due until December, some modifications are to be expected. NMC's updated curriculum, which is available on its website, will let students begin their exam preparation.

Latest NEET 2024: Exam Pattern
The NEET 2024 exam contains 200 multiple-choice questions out of which students have to attempt 180 (MCQs) from the following subjects:
Physics: 50 questions
Chemistry: 50 questions
Biology: 100 questions (Botany and Zoology)
- There will be two sections for each subject.
- There will be 35 questions in Section A and 15 questions in Section B.
- Students are expected to attempt ten of the fifteen questions in Section B.
- During the evaluation, every right response will receive a mark of (+4), and every wrong response will receive a mark of (-1); no response will have no impact.
Pen and paper entry are required; a ball pen is required to mark responses on an OMR sheet that can be graded by a machine. There is a choice of thirteen distinct languages to take the exam and there are regional testing sites available. When registering, the media needs to be specified.
