In a strong push towards creating truly inclusive classrooms, Educart, in collaboration with S.D. Public School, Pitampura, Delhi, conducted a teacher training workshop on Inclusive Education on August 2, 2025. The two-hour session was led by Inclusive Education Specialist Ms. Isha Johri and moderated by Mr. Nishant Lakra, drawing participation from over 40 teachers committed to making education more equitable and empathetic.

The workshop addressed the pressing need for supporting neurodiverse learners, with practical strategies tailored for students with Learning Disabilities (LD), ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through interactive, hands-on activities, teachers were encouraged to step into the shoes of their students, building empathy while designing actionable approaches to inclusion.

A key feature of the session was its alignment with NEP 2020’s vision and Educart’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) model, ensuring that the learnings were not just theoretical but implementable within existing school frameworks. The workshop also extended the scope of inclusion by addressing gender sensitivity, equipping teachers with tools to foster respect, equity, and diversity in every interaction.

Key Highlights of the Workshop:

  • Hosted by Educart as part of its CPD initiative for Indian educators
  • Focused on neurodiversity, covering LD, ADHD, and ASD support strategies
  • Integrated NEP 2020’s inclusive education principles into practice
  • Engaged teachers in empathy-driven, interactive activities
  • Addressed gender sensitivity and classroom equity
  • Promoted the mindset that inclusion is a continuous commitment, not a one-time intervention

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Johri reinforced the workshop’s core message: “Inclusion isn’t a strategy, it’s a mindset, rooted in empathy.”

Teachers were encouraged to view each student’s needs as unique opportunities for growth rather than challenges to manage. With S.D. Public School already supporting nearly 40 students with varied learning needs, the training was timely and deeply relevant. By combining practical tools, reflective exercises, and policy alignment, the session empowered educators to transform their classrooms into spaces where every child feels seen, supported, and valued.

This workshop reaffirmed Educart’s commitment to equipping teachers with the skills, perspectives, and confidence needed to embrace diversity. As NEP 2020 continues to guide the future of Indian education, such initiatives ensure that empathy remains at the heart of teaching and learning.
