On a mission to modernise teaching practices and align with national education reforms, Simpkins School partnered with Educart to conduct an insightful teacher training workshop on Competency-Based Education (CBE) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The session, held on campus, was attended by 24 teachers from across departments who brought enthusiasm and curiosity to the table.

The workshop, led by academic expert from Educart, focused on the shift from rote-based teaching to skills-based, learner-centric classrooms. Teachers explored practical frameworks that emphasise real-world application, critical thinking, and flexibility in assessments—all core elements of NEP 2020. From hands-on tasks to collaborative discussions, the session encouraged reflection on classroom practices and sparked ideas for more engaging student learning experiences.

Educators appreciated the approachable and practical nature of the training, noting how the session balanced educational theory with real implementation strategies. Many shared that they were already thinking of ways to incorporate the discussed techniques into their day-to-day lesson planning.

“We weren’t just listening—we were rethinking the way we teach,” said one of the participating teachers. “This was truly refreshing.”

Following the session, Principal Mrs. Neeta Garg expressed strong support for continuing such initiatives. She confirmed that more workshops are in the pipeline, with special focus on career counselling and setting up an Educart tuck shop after the summer vacation — making learning resources more accessible to students and parents.

This session marks an exciting beginning for Simpkins School’s teacher development journey in partnership with Educart. With a focus on practical learning, modern pedagogy, and teacher empowerment, the school is steadily building a classroom culture that is both future-ready and NEP-aligned.
