How To Check EPF Account Balance
A part of your salary is contributed towards your Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) to ensure a fixed amount of income after retirement
EPF is a retirement saving scheme offered by Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)
Under the EPF scheme, a certain amount is deducted from the employees' salary every month and is transferred to the EPF account
A specific rate of interest is added to your PF account for your contribution towards the EPF scheme
Here are different ways through which you can check your EPF account balance
Open Umang App on your smartphone and register to login. Click on EPFO option
Click on the 'View Passbook' option and enter your Universal Account Number (UAN) and one-time password (OTP) to view your PF balance
Visit the official website of EPFO or click on the link www.epfindia.gov.in
Select the 'Services' tab and click on 'For Employees'. Click on 'Member Passbook' and enter your UAN and password
Send a text message (SMS) using your mobile number to 7738299899 by typing 'EPFOHO UAN ENG' with the UAN
The last three alphabets of the message represent your preferred language in which you wish to receive the message
This SMS service is available in nine other languages including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Telugu and Malayalam
Registered users can give a missed call to 011-22901406 from their UAN registered mobile number
The registered users will receive the details of their EPF account balance through SMS
