Keep your blood pressure in check

High blood pressure can increase one's chances of suffering a stroke. Keep your blood pressure in check by reducing salt intake and avoiding high-cholesterol foods.

Exercise regularly 

Staying physically active is essential to maintain healthy blood flow to the brain. Practice yoga asanas or exercises which help boost blood flow to the brain. 

Maintain a healthy weight 

Maintain a healthy weight, as obesity can lead to high blood pressure, which can increase risk of stroke. 

Quit smoking

Smoking can thicken the blood and cause blockage in arteries. Quitting smoking will play a significant impact in reducing the risk of stroke. 

Prioritise sleep

Irregular sleeping patterns can increase the chances of stroke. Maintain a healthy and consistent sleep routine and try to get 7-8 hours of sleep.
