World Tolerance Day: 4 healthy habits that can make you more tolerant

Every year, November 16 is celebrated as the World Tolerance Day to promote harmony and acceptance. Here are 4 healthy habits to adopt in your daily lifestyle to become a more tolerant individual.

Practice mindfulness

Practice mindfulness and meditation to become self aware of your feelings. This will also help you look within and introspect.

Accept change

Resistance to change can cause feelings of discomfort. Accept that change is the only constant in life and that everything else is temporary. This philosophy can be beneficial when cultivating tolerance.

 Pause and reflect before reacting

It is important to be mindful of your actions. Take a deep breath and assess the situation and respond accordingly.

Practice deep breathing

Focusing on your breath helps you be more present in the moment. Practising deep breathing on a regular basis promotes positive feelings and builds calm and patience.
