Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra will compete in the Men's Javelin Throw event today scripted history by clinching a gold medal in Tokyo 2020.

Gold in Tokyo

The champion brought home the Olympic gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 edition with a throw of 87.58 meters.

Second-place finish in Eugene Diamond League

Neeraj Chopra recorded a second-place finish in the Eugene Diamond League 2023 with a throw of 83.80m behind Czech athlete Jakub Vadlech (84.24m).

Gold at World Athletics Championship

Power thrower Neeraj Chopra won India's first-ever gold at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2023 with a throw of 88.17m.

Padma Shri awardee in 2022

He also received the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award of India in 2022, presented by the then President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
