Karwa Chauth 2023: 5 ways to open your fast

Karwa Chauth will be observed on November 1, 2023. On this occasion, married women observe a full-day fast and open it after the moonrise.

Here are five ways in which you can break your Karwa Chauth fast.

Fruits

You can eat raw fruits to open your fast as they provide natural sugars for energy, fluid, and vitamins and minerals.

Homemade sweets

Homemade sweets like suji ka halwa, kheer, or barfi are also perfect for breaking the fast.

Dry fruits

You can break your fast with dry fruits like raisins, apricots and dates. They are packed with essential nutrients.

Fermented foods

Having fermented food items like yoghurt can be an ideal way to break the fast, as it can help support your gut health.

Water

Make sure to take small sips of water while breaking the fast because going for a long time without food or water can make you feel nauseous and bloated.
