India vs England 2nd Test Day 1 Highlights: India ended the first day of the Lord's Test on 276/3. With five overs left in the day, India lost their captain Virat Kohli for 42, nicking Ollie Robinson to Joe Root at first slip. KL Rahul followed his half-century in the first Test with a century here in the second as he along with captain Kohli drove India into a consolidating position. James Anderson struck twice before tea to give England breakthroughs, clean bowling Rohit Sharma for 83 and getting Cheteshwar Pujara out caught in the slips. Earlier, Rohit and Rahul gave the team another strong start bringing up a century partnership. Rohit brought up a half-century off 83 balls which is his 13th in Tests. India reached 46/0 in 18.4 overs before rain interrupted play at Lord's, prompting an early lunch break. After a quiet start to the innings, Rohit hit four boundaries off a Sam Curran over to break the shackles and give India a move on. After a short rain delay earlier, which pushed proceedings back by 20 minutes, England captain Joe Root won the toss and opted to bowl against India. Kohli informed that Ishant Sharma has replaced Shardul Thakur in India's only chance. As for England, there were three changes with Haseeb Hameed, Moeen Ali and Mark Wood getting a game.
