Is there anything that Australia cricket team captain Steve Smith can’t do? The 28-year old batsman has dominated bowlers in Test cricket in the last four years, stacking up 5796 runs with the help of 22 tons in 59 matches. His career average of 62.32 places him second to Sir Don Bradman in the all-time list.
It seems Smith is seeking other challenges, and was seen honing his tennis skills ahead of next month’s Australian Open. In a video posted by cricket.com.au on Twitter, Smith is shown taking on big-serving Canadian Milos Raonic in a game.
“He’s dominated bowling attacks around the world, but how does @stevesmith49 go against the rocket serve of @milosraonic on the court?!,” read the caption of the video tweeted by the Australian website.
Though Smith fails to return Raonic’s serve on first occasion, he does it with élan the second time.

Smith recently scored a double hundred against England in the third Ashes Test at the WACA to help his team take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
During the course of his knock, he also completed 1000 runs in 2017 and joined fellow Australian Matthew Hayden as the only players in Test history to have scored 1000 runs in a calendar year on four consecutive occasions.
