South Africa are firmly in control on Day 3 of the first Test against Bangladesh and have extended their lead to 230 runs at stumps on Day 3 after being 54/2 at the end of the day’s play. Bangladesh were bundled out for 320 with Keshav Maharaj picking three wickets for the hosts. Morne Morkel and Kagiso Rabada grabbed two wickets each. Earlier, South Africa had declared their first innings on 496 for three. Dean Elgar made 199 and Hashim Amla scored 137 as South Africa batted remorselessly until captain Faf du Plessis decided to declare the innings.
