The daring jailbreak in Bhopal by eight suspected activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and their subsequent killing in an alleged encounter by Madhya Pradesh police had Twitter buzzing on Monday.

A lot of questions were raised about the circumstances surrounding the encounter — some suspected the incident might have been staged, while others lauded the MP police’s quick response to a possibly dangerous situation.
