Mission Rozgar will give wings to dreams of youth, says Yogi Adityanath

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said the Uttar Pradesh government has given jobs to over 5.5 lakh (550,000) youngsters with complete fairness and transparency in six years.
“In six years, Uttar Pradesh has taken a major leap forward to start a new journey on the path of development and welfare of the masses,” he said while handing over appointment letters to newly appointed officers of various departments recruited through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC).
While the state’s recruitment process for government services was underway, youngsters were also finding work in the private sector, he said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mission Rozgar’ was going to give wings to the dreams of the youth, he said.
“Forty-three candidates from the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Coaching Scheme have been selected in the recruitment examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission,” he said.
“Six years ago, the youngsters in U.P. were dealing with an identity crisis. These youths no longer hesitate to speak out about their home state in any other state across the country. This is the same state where the mafia used to dominate development work,” he said.
“The recruitment and transfer process was shuffled like a pack of cards. This is the same state where riots used to occur every third day, and investment did not come. Investors began to close their businesses and leave the state,” he added.
Yogi Adityanath further said, “Change is now visible in every part of a village and city. The youth power that was forced to migrate is now gaining respect in its home state, and a new picture is emerging in front of all of us.”
Uttar Pradesh had a large MSME hub but majority of the units were sick in the past, he added.
The state government then launched the one district one product, Vishwakarma Shram Samman and Mati Kala Board for branding of products. “Over 1.61 crore (16.1 million) youngsters have been given employment in the MSME sector. Over 60 lakh (6 million) youths have been given loans under various schemes to launch startups and MSME units in the state,” he said.
“They are currently doing an excellent job,” he said.
Before 2017, the unemployment rate in Uttar Pradesh was 18-19% but it has been reduced to 3-4% under the BJP government in last six years, Yogi Adityanath said.
The state government has launched a scheme for a distribution of smart phones and tablets to 2 crore (20 million) youths.
“Till now 20 lakh (2 million) youths have received the tablets and smart phones,” he said.
“The coming 10 years of government service will prove to be the basis of your work. If you conduct yourself in accordance with public sentiments during these years, people’s trust in you will increase,” he said to the newly appointed officers.
During the programme, the chief minister inaugurated the “e-adhiyachan portal”.
