Alert BSF troops shoot Pak drone in Amritsar; 4 kg RDX, bomb-making items seized

The alert BSF troops at the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar shot at a drone from Pakistan that dropped 2 yellow packets on the Indian side. BSF claims that the drone invaded Indian airspace late last night. As per reports, the packets appeared to contain contraband but when the BSF called in the bomb disposal squad it turned out to carry bomb-making materials. As per reports, the first packet contained 2.60kg RDX explosive, 2 Nylon ropes, 1 timer, 3 electric detonators, polarised cells, 3 steel containers, ball bearing for splinters, ₹1 lakh and the second packet was carrying 2.10kg RDX explosive, 1 Chinese pistol and 13 bullets, 3 electric detonators, 3 steel containers, 2 polarised cell, over 1kg cycle ball bearings. This is for the first time this year that Pakistan drones were shot while they dropped drugs and weapons on the Indian side just ahead of the assembly elections. Watch for more details.
