South Africa, part of BRICS grouping, has filed a case against Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over the Gaza war. South Africa accused Israel of “committing genocide” in Gaza as the death toll in the Palestinian strip has soared past 21,000. Israel hit back at South Africa, saying Tel Aviv rejects with disgust the “blood libel spread” by the BRICS nation. South Africa has been vehemently criticising Israel’s military operation in Gaza.
