The second part of the budget session of Parliament started on a fiery note as opposition raised the issue of fuel price hike. Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge raised the issue during the question hour and demanded suspension of business to discuss the issue of fuel price hike. ‘This is a burning issue. You are well aware that the petrol prices are now nearly Rs. 100 per litre and diesel is more than Rs. 80 per litre.’ Kharge said. Rajya Sabha chairman Venkaiah Naidu stopped the Congress MP and said that there are multiple opportunities to discuss it in the course of the Session.
