The rain not only ruined the arrangements made by the horticulture department, but also failed to attract crowd.

Even the venue of competitions was changed to Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula, due to incessant rain. Expressing displeasure at the weather conditions, Adhij Gulati of Gulati Garments, who was to set up a stall at the fest, said, “I have not been able to put up my stall as it’s pouring. My products are still packed in the car.”

Though a two-day event, the festival was wound up on Sunday itself, with the state mourning the demise of former Haryana chief minister Hukam Singh on Saturday.

The festival saw several students from around 11 schools competing in various events, including rangoli-making, painting, pot painting, mehndi, mono acting and fashion show.

Apart from this, a variety of flowers, including rose, cactus, dahlia, petunia, gladioli, ascer were on display.
