The crime incident took place around 5am when the woman went out of her house to relieve herself in a nearby forest area. Three men allegedly arrived at the spot and pointed a knife at her. They threatened her and allegedly took turns to rape her. Later they dumped her in the forest after she lost consciousness.

When the woman regained consciousness, she spotted some passersby and cried for help. Her screams also alerted the locals. They went to her and found that she was bleeding and was semi-naked. One of them informed her family as well as the police.
