On International Day of Yoga, celebs share the benefits of following yoga as a fitness regimen and reveal their favourite asanas

Practising yoga has a large number of benefits for your mind and body, and it is considered to have positive effects on overall happiness as well. So, as the world celebrates the International Day of Yoga today, we spoke with celebrities about how yoga has helped them strengthen their muscles and calm their minds. Herein, they share their favourite yoga asanas and how the practice has helped them attain peace in life.

Yoga has been an integral part of my life and my lifestyle. I feel that yoga balances my physical and mental stability, which is very important in today’s hectic life. We do a lot of workouts and different kinds of physical activities in the gym, but yoga makes me feel very balanced and calm and helps me be ready to face the world. I feel that yoga is very important for everyone, not only for people who want to be physically active, but for people who want to be mentally active as well. I love doing yoga and don't think I can live without it.

Yoga has changed my life. I had a neck injury and after a month of yoga and meditation, it was healed. In fact, I was so inspired that I developed a dance training method called Prana Paint & Flow, based on Yoga and breathing.
