Scindia, who toured Shivpuri and which is a part of his parliamentary constituency Guna, said in the letter that the hospital and trauma centres needed immediate attention of the government.
Scindia said the hospital was upgraded to grade-2 with a sanction for a trauma centre there by the then-UPA government at the Centre. The central government had sanctioned an amount of ₹9.65 crore for the trauma centre and ₹2.94 crore was released for purchase of equipment, human resources and communication. Under the scheme, the central government was to run the trauma centre for five years and then the state government was to take over its operation.
