SHO of Konta police station Eman Sahu and four constables were heading for Konta from Sukma when their vehicle came under fire near Manikonta village, said a senior police officer.

They, however, quickly took positions and retaliated, forcing the rebels to flee.

All five personnel reached Dornapal safely. Forces were dispatched to the area to trace the attackers.
