UP government has suspended 5 officers of the Panchyati Raj department for their alleged involvement in financial irregularities.

Uttar Pradesh government has suspended five officers of the Panchyati Raj department for their alleged involvement in financial irregularities.

The irregularities were found during a surprise inspection of Palia block in Lakhimpur Kheri district by a task force constituted by the Director of the department.
Additional Development officer (ADO) Bipin Bihari Shukla and four village panchyat officers Tej Bahadur, Sarvesh Kumar, Ram Asrey and Ramu Awasthi were suspended after they were found involved in the discrepancies prima facie, Deputy Director Panchyati Raj R K Tiwari said in Lucknow on Thursday.
