Photos: Maharashtra records over 6000 Covid-19 deaths under a month

Maharashtra recorded 6,159 deaths this month until July 28, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease. The death toll for July alone accounts for 42.33% of the total of 13,883 deaths recorded in the state so far. As the sixth phase of lockdown nears an end and the state plans to open up activities, the rise in infections remains a concern for the state authorities. Maharashtra's current Covid-19 tally stands at 144,694 active cases with 13,656 deaths.
