Photos| Lok Sabha elections 2019: Voting begins on 91 seats

India’s general elections kicked off on Thursday with 91 Lok Sabha seats spread across 18 states and two union territories going to the polls, the first day of a nearly six-week-long process that constitutes the world’s largest democratic exercise. Voters were seen queuing up early morning outside booths in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur among other states. Barring a few minor glitches in UP, Uttarakhand and Bihar, polling is going on smoothly.

In Tripura, police said they have heard of the complaints that voters in many areas were forced to vacate the booth without casting vote.
