    A Christmas cake mixing ceremony was held at Chaitanya Institute for mental health centre, Kondhwa, on Wednesday. Traditional cake mixing ceremony kicks off a few months before Christmas. The activity involves mixing liquor and dry fruits along with spices. It is soaked for three-­four weeks and then baked. The alcohol, being in a liquid form, has a tendency to settle down in the jar and to ensure even soaking and absorbing of liquor by the fruits, the sealed mix is opened once a week to be mixed properly again.
