Twenty-year-old Pune woman claims she gave birth in November after being raped by two men in March

The Nigdi police have booked two persons for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman. The woman, in her complaint, has alleged that she was raped by two unidentified people in the month of March. A case under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered based on her complaint on Tuesday night.
A case under Section 376, 363 and 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was also registered against the two unidentified people at Nigdi police station. The case is being investigated by police sub-inspector (PSI) Prakash V More of Nigdi police station.
"The complainant walked in with a social worker named Jyoti Pathan and narrated the incident. We filed a case on Tuesday night," PSI More said.

While one of them was inside the car, the other one pushed her inside and pressed a piece of cloth against her mouth, said the complainant. The woman claimed to have lost consciousness following this and the next thing she claims to remember is that she was lying under the railway bridge near Akurdi railway station, according to the police.
The woman claimed that she woke up and found her clothes tattered. The woman found herself pregnant within a few weeks and gave birth to a child around a month ago in November, according to the police.The woman alleges that the father of the child she bore was one of the men, according to the police. The 20-year-old works in local households in the area under Nigdi police jurisdiction.
