International drug cartel: One accusedsent to police remand till July 8

The local police on Wednesday produced Sachin Sardana, one of the accused in an international synthetic drug trafficking cartel busted by the Patiala police on July1, before a Fatehgarh Sahib court, which has sent him to police remand till July 8.

The police had recovered 5-kg pseudoephedrine and one-kg drug powder from his possession.

The police claimed that it was learnt that the smugglers had made networking in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and smuggling had been supplied through Chennai and Mizoram up to Malaysia and European countries. The police had arrested eight persons in the case.
