Awe packs a punch at box office: Nani’s film earns Rs 9.40 cr in opening weekend

Awe, an off-beat film about mental illness has received good response from audiences. The movie directed by Prasanth Varma has collected Rs 9.40 crore in the first weekend, reported Andhra box office. The movie’s scintillating star-cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, Esha Rebba, Srinivas Avasarala, Murali Sharma. It also features voiceovers by Nani and Ravi Teja.
The film had a decent start and collected Rs 3.6 crore on Day 1. The movie was distributed in the USA by Nirvana Cinema and so far, they have collected $500,000.
The official handle of the distribution company tweeted, “#Awe Crossed Half a Million Dollar Mark in USA. MILLION THANKS TO ALL AUDIENCE FOR MAKING A HUGE SUCCESS IN USA. Thanks to all who supported us.”
They have also added more screens in the USA. Nirvana Cinemas tweeted, “More reasons to be “Awe”d. We are adding more locations in USA from next Thursday i.e 22 Feb. Sorry to keep you wait till Thursday. We couldn’t screen in these locations first week because of Black Panther. @NameisNani @walpostercinema.”
