Thalapathy 62: Popular stuntmen Ram-Lakshman brothers to choreograph action
Well-known stunt choreographers Ram-Lakshman, who will take care of the action scenes if Vijay Murugadoss film, are popular for their work in Telugu filmdom.
The team of Vijay’s next yet-untitled outing with AR Murugadoss has been shooting at breakneck speed. After wrapping up the first schedule in Chennai, the makers are currently in Kolkata where they’ll shoot some important scenes and action sequences for nearly three weeks. Well-known stunt choreographers Ram-Lakshman, popular for their work in Telugu filmdom, have been roped in to take care of the action scenes in the film. The twin brothers have worked on Telugu films such as Gabbar Singh, Mirchi and Brindavanam among others. The brothers have bagged most number of Nandi awards for their work over the years. Some of their upcoming projects include Bharath Ane Nenu, Naa Peru Surya and Rangasthalam.
The project was officially launched with a puja in Chennai last month. Sun Pictures, best known for producing Rajinikanth’s Enthiran, is bankrolling the project on a lavish budget. It was recently announced that double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman was officially signed on for the project, which will mark his reunion with Murugadoss after the Hindi version of Ghajini. While it has already been confirmed that Girish Gangadharan, the young lensman whose recent work includes Kali and Solo, has been signed on for the project, editor Sreekar Prasad, who has worked with Murugadoss in projects such as Thuppakki and Spyder, is also part of the film.
All eyes are on Thalapathy 62 as the combination of Vijay and Murugadoss has set the bar very high. Two of Vijay’s best films in recent years have come from Murugadoss and it naturally has built high anticipation around their next project. Keerthy Suresh has been finalized as the leading lady. It is believed that the project is being planned as a Diwali 2018 release and it might lock horns with Ajith’s Viswasam and Suriya-Selvaraghavan film at the box-office.
