about the video

Just hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India had registered itself as a space power by successfully testing anti-satellite missiles, a political war of words broke out between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Opposition. After Congress tried to claim credit for initiation of the programme, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that scientists had gone on record to say that the previous UPA government had refused to give a go-ahead for the tests. Jaitley also said that the Opposition was raising ‘clerical objections’ regarding alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct due to the announcement.
