Late Union Minister and Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar's village, Parra, charges tax for clicking pictures of a coconut palm-lined scenic landscape. Tourists, as well as locals, will have to pay 'swachhata tax' or 'photography tax' if they click a photograph or shoot video on the road in the village in North Goa. The tax has been imposed by the Parra village panchayat and locals have vehemently opposed it.
