President of the Indian National Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, addressed a public meeting in his Lok Sabha constituency of Wayanad. Gandhi is on a 3-day visit to his constituency in Kerala. In his speech, Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of spreading hatred to divide India and using lies to win elections. He also said that the Congress is fighting this 'poison of hatred' nationally, as the party stands for love and affection. The Congress chief lost his family bastion of Amethi, in Uttar Pradesh, to the Bharatiya Janata Party, but was elected to the Lower House of Parliament from Wayanad in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
