Residents of Guwahati face threat of floods

Rising water levels in the River Brahmaputra has posed vigorous threat to the residents of Guwahati, as the level on Wednesday crossed the danger mark by nearly a metre. People residing in areas close to the riverbank attempted to protect their whereabouts by relying on makeshift barriers of sandbags.
