WB announces 1.5 Mn Rs compensation to families of slain soldiers
The state government of West Bengal has announced a compensation of 1.5 million rupees, and promised jobs to the families of slain soldiers killed in the brutal Maoist attack on February 15, when about 100 rebels stormed a camp of the paramilitary Eastern Frontier Rifles in Silda village of Midnapore district of west Bengal and killed at least 24 policemen by firing indiscriminately on them.
