Eugenie Bouchard secured a stunning three-set win over Maria Sharapova which lasted almost three hours in the second round at the Madrid Open. Bouchard advanced 7-5 2-6 6-4 in what had been described as a grudge match due to recent comments from the Canadian. The 23-year-old had admitted the Russian should have been banned from tennis for life for doping, adding spice to the encounter.
