About 100 speedy sausage dogs competed at the Hophaus Annual Dachshund Race in Melbourne. They may be famous for their clumsy long bodies and stumpy legs, but that didn’t stop them from competing for the title of speediest sausage dog at Melbourne’s annual Dachshund Race. The four-legged contestants sprinted down a 15 metre track to the delight of crowds of excited onlookers. The Hophaus Annual Dachshund Race, now in its second year, is part of the city’s Oktoberfest celebrations. The event also awards dozens of prizes for the best-dressed wiener dog.
