Forgotten victims of 2004 Tsunami: Mother finds daughter's body after 10 years
Ten years after the catastrophic 2004 Asian tsunami, a mother in Myanmar is living the pain a second time. She recently found out that her daughter's body - which she thought was lost at sea - has lain unclaimed for years in a Thailand grave. And not just her, more than 400 unclaimed bodies awaiting loved ones who never came. These are the lost, the forgotten victims for whom the past has not been laid to rest. In Myanmar, even though Aye Pu is too poor to bring her daughter's body back to her homeland, she hopes to arrange a cremation and Buddhist rites in Thailand. She says, "The healing can finally begin."
