Kangana Ranaut has perfected the art of being unconventional and doing so in style. Her trip to Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation headquarters at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu was a spiritual trip but was equally striking in its visuals and much of the credit goes to the lady in question.

If you thought her creamy white sari look in the company of Adiyogi statue was breathtaking, do see these pictures from her darshan and puja at the Shiva temple there. In one of the most striking pictures from the recent lot, Kangana can be seen pouring water on a Shiva lingam at the Adishakti ashram. Her gold-and-blonde curls are in a chic mess (we sense it is windy there), Kangana’s expression is one of devotion, poise and spiritual bliss. It hints at a manic madness which is controlled. It is a classic instance of a devout meeting the yogi. The lingam itself is ringed by five nags (snakes). The translucent blue light all around adds to the aura of the piece. Behind Kangana, we can see statues of rishis in various yogic postures.

Sharing the pictures, Kangana’s team wrote: “#KanganaRanaut spends time in the #Adishakti ashram soaking in the divine at @isha.foundation She appears to be in spiritual bliss :) @sadhguru Pic credit : Swami Chitranga.”

Kangana poses by the multi-faith column.

In another picture, the devotee in Kangana seats in prayer and contemplation by a massive lingam. Lit by several metallic diyas (Indian lamps), seated on a gigantic nag, all coiled, garlanded by Tulsi leaves perhaps (it’s a green coloured garland), is a Shiva lingam. The scene is meant to dwarf the human in the presence of the divine.

In yet another picture, Kangana stands beside a huge pillar with the holy signs of Hinduism, Islam and Christianity carved on it. On the boundary wall that surrounds it, we get the sense that there are small streams of water flowing. The whole atmosphere is quite magical.

On the work front, Kangana is busy prepping for the release of her historical drama Manikarnika while she has just finished shooting for Mental Hai Kya. Manikarnika is based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai, one of the heroes of India’s first battle of Independence in 1857 while Mental Hai Kya stars her with Rajkummar Rao.
