Kangana Ranaut, who is currently working on Manikarnika and Mental Hai Kya, took time out and left for Coimbatore on Monday.bollywood Updated: Jul 24, 2018 13:35 IST
Kangana Ranaut is a fitness freak and a yoga enthusiast. Her many videos on Instagram and interviews prove as much. Looks like she is getting deeper into other, more deeper, aspects of yoga.
Late on Monday, she posted a picture of herself with the majestic Shiva statue at the Coimbatore headquarter of the Isha Foundation. Dressed in a cream-coloured sari with a sleeveless blouse and with minimal makeup, she stands in a black-and-white contrast with the statue in the background. The grey monsoon clouds in the sky above add to the drama.
Sharing the post, her team wrote: “And time stood still! #KanganaRanaut soaking in the divinity and seeking the blessings of the almighty at #Adiyogi @isha.foundation @sadhguru.”
Her team, which handles her Instagram page, of course can’t help admiring Kangana. In one of the posts, she is described as a ‘symbol of purity’ and a ‘vision of oomph’. It isn’t clear what is the purpose of her visit.
On the work, Kangana has her hands full. In mid July, she returned from the London shoot of her upcoming film, Mental Hai Kya, where she stars with Rajkummar Rao. She is also preparing for the release of her other film, Manikarnika, a historical drama of Rani Laxmibai, the brave queen of Jhansi, who died fighting the British, during the 1857 First Battle of Indian Independence. However, it is her quirky look from Mental Hai Kya that has caught the fancy of many. Her pictures on Instagram from the film’s shoot are striking--with crop of mad curls in direct contrast to her frocks in gentle, English colours and prints.
Mental Hai Kya brings together Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao again after Queen. The film is directed by National Award-winner Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor. Explaining the concept of the film, Ekta had said during the launch of its first look, “Mental Hai Kya celebrates the beauty in imperfections and in being different and shouts out, ‘sanity is overrated’! I’m thrilled to work with Kangana and Raj on this one.”
Her other film, Manikarnika, is directed by Krish and KV Vijayendra Prasad has written the script. Kangana plays the titular role in the film, which also stars Sonu Sood and Ankita Lokhande in pivotal roles.
