Comedian Shyam Rangeela, popularly known for mimicking Narendra Modi, has announced that he will contest the Lok Sabha elections 2024 as an independent candidate from Varanasi against the prime minister. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party on May 2 dropped sitting Kaiserganj MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who has been accused of sexual harassment by women wrestlers and gave a ticket to his son, Karan Bhushan Singh.
