Chhattisgarh Election 2022: Prantij Assembly Seat

In 2017, 9 candidates were contesting for Prantij assembly constituency seat. Prantij was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Parmar Gajendrasinh Udesinh winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Baraiya Mahendrasinh Kacharsinh (ADVOCATE) by a margin of just 2,551 votes.

94.4% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Parmar Gajendrasinh Udesinh got a total of 83,482 votes, while Indian National Congress's Baraiya Mahendrasinh Kacharsinh (ADVOCATE) got 80,931 votes. Nationalist Congress Party's candidate Zala Rajendrasinh Kalusinh grabbed 3,718 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 47.9%, 46.5% and 2.1% respectively.
